Château Lestrille-Capmartin is owned by Jean-Louis Roumage (below), an agricultural engineer who combines modern growing and winemaking techniques with a great respect for traditions. His 96-acre property is located in the small town of St. Germain du Puch (the northern point of Entre-deux-Mers between Libourne and Bordeaux and about a half-hour southwest of St. Emilion). Michel Rolland is one of the consulting enologists at the domaine, which has belonged to the Roumage family since the end of the 19th century.

The Château Lestrille is made with 60% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Cabernet Franc. After a long, temperature-controlled macération, the wine is fermented and raised in tank for a year before being released. It is loaded with notes of red fruits and subtle earthly complexity.
The Cuvée Prestige is made with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and sees all new oak; it displays notes of ripe red fruit, toast, coffee and wood spice. Its finish is long, with well-integrated tannin.
